Once again Jakob Fuglsang demonstrated that he is in great shape at the moment, when he won the Danish time trial championships. He did not make the final Radioshack Nissan Trek Tour de France roster, but he continues to deliver great results.
His time trial win in Denmark did not come as a great surprise, as he is known for riding great time trials, and that he is currently in the best shape possible.
“This is another proof that I am ready, and a Tour de France with a total of 100km time trials would have suited me well” Fuglsang said after the win.
“Of course I am disappointed that I am not going to ride the Tour, but this is out of my hands and I just have to carry on, and ride the races that the team wants me to participate in” Jakob Fuglsang said according to eb.dk and added “We will see how it goes, but naturally I am disappointed. I have to use it constructively, and show that they made the wrong choice.”
