Radioshack Nissan Trek and Jesse Sergent were ready to defend defend Sergent’s 2011 race title, and although the prologue was won by Michal Kwiatkowsk the team set their fingerprint on the first day in Three Days of West Flanders.
The team’s two young riders Robert Wagner and Jesse Sergent placed 3rd and 5th respectively.
Jesse Sergent started off his turn in fast forward mode, and at one point he was 8 seconds faster than teammate Wagner, but couldn’t keep up the pace and lost two seconds to Wagner.
All in all a good start for Radioshack Nissan Trek.
